How It Works

How the C05 Countertop RO System Works

The C05 draws municipal tap water from its removable feed-water tank, processes it through the integrated reverse osmosis filter, monitors water quality, and automatically fills the matching glass pitcher through a separate remineralization filter.

AUTO-FILL
1
Fill the Removable Feed-Water Tank

Remove the rear tank, add municipal tap water up to the MAX line, and press the tank fully back into position. No direct plumbing connection is required.

2
Water Passes Through the 5-Stage RO Filter

The system moves water through the all-in-one cartridge. The reverse osmosis process separates purified water from dissolved solids and other unwanted substances.

3
Water Quality Is Monitored in Real Time

The smart display shows raw-water TDS and purified-water TDS, helping you compare incoming water with the water produced after RO filtration.

4
Purified Water Passes Through the Mineral Filter

Before entering the matching glass pitcher, the RO-filtered water moves through the separate remineralization filter, which helps improve its mineral balance and final taste.

5
The Glass Pitcher Fills Automatically

Place the matching pitcher on the water tray and the C05 automatically produces water until the pitcher is full. Remove the pitcher to use the 8 oz, 20 oz, 40 oz, or manual dispensing options.

Concentrated-water reminder: During RO filtration, the separated concentrated water remains in the feed-water tank. When the water-changing indicator flashes, remove the tank, discard the remaining water, and refill it with fresh tap water instead of simply topping it up.

C05 Filter Replacement Guide

Replacing each filter at the appropriate time helps maintain stable water production, effective TDS reduction, fresh water taste, and reliable everyday performance.

!
Monitor the Filter-Life Indicator

The main-filter indicator gradually decreases during use. It turns red when replacement is approaching and flashes when the filter has reached the end of its monitored life.

The Filter Indicator Turns Red

A red indicator means the main RO filter is approaching the end of its monitored service period.

The Red Indicator Flashes

A flashing red filter indicator means the main filter should be replaced as soon as possible.

Water Production Becomes Slower

Reduced production speed may indicate filter blockage, scale buildup, low water temperature, or poor feed-water quality.

TDS Reduction Becomes Less Effective

Compare the raw-water and purified-water readings. Replace the main filter when performance noticeably declines.

Unwanted Taste or Odor Returns

A change in taste or odor may indicate that the main filter or remineralization filter needs attention.

The Recommended Time Has Been Reached

Use the recommended replacement ranges as guidance, even when the system continues to operate normally.

C05 Replacement Filter Configuration

The C05 uses one main 5-stage RO cartridge inside the machine and one separate remineralization filter inside the glass pitcher.

Step 1 Press and hold the filter-reset button for 3 seconds until the system beeps and the filter icon flashes.
Step 2 Within 10 seconds, press and hold the same button for another 3 seconds.
Step 3 After the confirmation beep, wait approximately 5 seconds for the system to exit reset mode.
Replacement and Flushing Checklist
Filter Recommended Life Replacement Indicator Required Action
5-Stage All-in-One RO Filter 6–9 Months Main filter-life indicator turns red or flashes, purified-water TDS rises, or production slows. Replace the cartridge, reset the filter-life indicator, and complete four flushing cycles.
Remineralization Filter 3–6 Months Recommended replacement period is reached or the final water taste noticeably changes. Replace the filter installed in the glass pitcher and rinse the pitcher before normal use.
New Main Filter Flushing 4 Cycles Required after each new main RO filter is installed. Produce approximately 40 oz per cycle, discard the water, and repeat the process four times.
Filter-Life Reset Every Replacement Required after replacing the main RO cartridge. Complete the two-stage button-hold sequence before starting the new-filter flushing process.
Filter-life reminder: Recommended replacement periods are reference values rather than fixed guarantees. Feed-water TDS, hardness, temperature, daily use, filtered volume, maintenance, and local water quality can shorten or extend actual filter life.
Important: Do not drink water produced during the new-filter flushing process. Some grey or dark water may appear during early flushing because fine activated-carbon particles are being rinsed from the new cartridge. This can be normal during the initial cycles.

No need to boil the water any more!

I’d love to share how this filtration system has changed things for me.I’ve always had trouble drinking bottled spring water or regular filtered water — I could only drink boiled water.
But with the Purewell C05, for the first time ever, I can enjoy clean, mineral-rich water without any stomach issues.I’m really grateful to Purewell for creating such an amazing system.

Good water quality

Compared to my usual Brita filter, this RO system produces water that’s noticeably fresher and clearer.I also like the built-in mineral filter, which gives the water a clean, crisp taste.Overall, I’m really happy with the results and the clear improvement in water quality.

Good quality!!

No complaints about this water filter. I realy like its compact size, which is perfect for the countertop.
It’s super easy to set up. With so many options on the market, I’m really glad I chose this one.

Good product!

I bought this filter mainly to remove heavy metals from my tap water (I live in the Northeast) and to use it with my humidifiers. While many brands have similar designs, I really like that this one keeps the remineralization filter separate on the pitcher. That lets me use unmineralized water in my humidifiers and avoid limescale buildup.
Setup was completely hassle-free—it came pre-assembled, so it was just plug‑and‑play. The water tastes clean and neutral, as expected, and comes out perfectly clear.

Economical, easy and clean water solution.

I’ve been wanting clean, fresh water for my family without drilling holes or installing a permanent RO system. This countertop water filter is exactly what I needed—it’s simple to use, clean, and portable. Setup is super easy, and it’s lightweight enough to move around anywhere.
I really like that it includes a glass jar and an extra mineral filter to restore healthy minerals into the water. The water tastes crisp and pure, and you can clearly taste the difference compared to tap water or Brita filters.
The only small downside is that the water tank is at the back; it would be more convenient if it were on the side instead. It also comes with a small tool to help twist and replace the filter, and the instructions are clear both in the manual and on the filter itself.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase. The filter lasts more than a year, which is more than enough for my family.

Very good product.

I purchased this product mainly to remove heavy metals from my tap water (I live in the Northeast), and also to use it with my humidifiers. While the design looks similar to many other brands, I really like that the remineralization filter is separate from the main cartridge and sits on the pitcher. This lets me use non-remineralized water in my humidifiers and avoid limescale buildup.Setup was extremely easy — it came fully assembled, so it was just plug and play. The water tasted clean and plain, as expected, and came out perfectly clear.

Nice system!

I bought this for our cabin, which runs on well water. While the water is technically safe to drink, it has a high mineral content, so we always used to bring bottled water for drinking. This reverse osmosis system has made that completely unnecessary, and we couldn’t be happier with it.
First of all, it’s very well-built and looks great on the countertop. But the most important thing is the quality of the water it produces. Everyone in the family tried it and agreed it’s just as good as bottled water, especially compared to the unfiltered well water.
It’s not the cheapest option on the market, but I believe in the long run it’s more than worth it for the cost savings and environmental benefits it provides.

K

Compact, eco‑friendly system!

This countertop reverse osmosis system has totally transformed our at-home drinking water experience. It’s extremely convenient—no complicated installation required; simply plug it in and you’re ready to go. The included glass kettle feels very well-made and makes refilling straightforward.
Thanks to the powerful filtration and mineralization process, the water tastes clean and crisp, and the 3:1 pure-to-drain water ratio is highly efficient. I especially appreciate the smart functions, like the hands‑free water dispensing and easy‑to‑read touchscreen display.
Replacing the filters only takes seconds, maintenance is minimal, and it’s far more cost‑effective than constantly purchasing bottled water.
All in all, it’s a compact, eco‑friendly system that provides top‑tier water quality with absolutely no hassle.

Happy with it!

I’m very happy with this reverse osmosis water filter. It’s simple to use, and you get fresh, clean water right away. The filters last a long time and aren’t expensive to replace. I’ve definitely noticed a huge difference in the taste of the water, and I no longer worry about drinking it. It might even be worth installing a second unit in the bathroom.

Don

I’m really glad I decided to give this a try. My tap water has always tested really poorly, but once I got this water filter system fully set up, I tested the filtered water and it now shows up in the green — excellent quality — and it actually tastes so much better! The setup instructions were really easy to follow. It works extremely well and is simple to fill. It doesn’t take up much counter space either, so it’s fairly compact. I’m also planning to take it with me in my RV when I travel. I’m excited about the infuser that comes included too, so I can make my own flavored water. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
