How It Works

How Gravity Filtration Works

Water flows from the upper chamber through the filter elements by gravity, then collects in the lower chamber and is ready to dispense.

1. Add Water

Pour water into the upper chamber. No electricity or plumbing is required.

2. Gravity Pulls Water Down

Water naturally moves through the filter elements by gravity.

3. Filtered Water Collects Below

Filtered water collects in the lower chamber and is ready to pour from the spigot.

Works pretty good

I ordered this as I do not like the taste of water in plastic bottles and in order to not cause myself to become dehydrated while on travel for work, I bought the Purewell water filtration system, primarily because it is smaller than other systems. However, I have the (way more expensive) Big B****y system and for some reason, the water from that (larger) system tastes better and cleaner. The Purewell is better than plastic bottles, therefore, I'll continue to take it with me on travel given the smaller size; however, this system will in no way replace my other system while I am at home. If you want a cheaper and smaller water purifier system, I do recommend this system.

Works great and we bought two!

We now have two of these! One for our rig and the other for the home. Our home water has the sulfur odor (strong) and after the filtration from the pure well—zero odor and no after taste. Definitely recommend!

A fantastic product!

This is an extraordinarily good product. I have been using it for two and a half months now, and I could not be more satisfied with it. I could not recommend it more highly.

Why did I wait so long to buy one.

The filter works beautifully but it did take about 20 hours before the water started to flow through the filters. The water tastes so much better.

Purewell top tier rusts where cover snd top tier engage.

The top tier of this system is rusting where the cover meets. I did not expect that and was not looking for that. I contacted the company but they continue to give me the run around. They do not address my request to replace the top tier The system should not rust but this one did. Purewell did reach out and agreed to a refund. It works well but I believe the top tier due to its folded lip invites rust unless you are diligent about maintaining. Important to keep area dry.

One filter doesn't work

Product is great, arrived with all parts and clear directions. The only problem is one of the water filters does not work/drip. It's not necessary to return the whole product, but we need 2 functioning filters

Plastics-free, large capacity clean water

It was a bit confusing to assemble in the proper order, but I found You-Tube has some DIY videos. Love the large capacity. Looks great. I am using without the provided Floride filter at the recommendation. of our dentist.

Love love love

My favorite purchase this year! I have had this filtration system for over 6 months. It is a life changer. Our city water is beyond gross, but this filtration system filters it to perfection! No taste of chemicals like chlorine or flouride. I have been able to stop buying water bottles. Well worth the money!

Great filter/product

The set up and instructions were clear and everything was setup and ready to go in about 15 minutes. I have not experienced any leakage anywhere. Priming the filters was straight forward if not a little messy (that was on me). The quality of the water: no odor and nice clear tasting water. I will recommend this to others. This is a nice budget friendly option.

It takes a long time to get started dripping.

I waited for a bit before writing the review. So this is what I think. Pro: Easy to put together. It’s pretty and comes with a stand which helps and a window to let you know how much water is in there. It also comes with two spigots I installed the metal and it didn’t leak.Con: putting the two filters was easy and set up was too.Filling was a little hard because I’m height challenged.I was able to fill it up and then I waited waited. So I took it apart to see if I had done something wrong and decided to loosen it up some try it again and it did start dripping so slow slowly and slow. After several days of throwing out water and doing it all over I finally got it to work right. It does clean the water but I can’t it because I can still taste the water and to me it tastes like baking just a tiny bit but that burns my throat and makes me cough. I will not be keeping it.For about a year I have been trying to get away from plastic bottles and this my second try at a water machine .This is my last try there must be something in water filters that I can’t drink. So I will be returning it soon for a refund.

Filtering water "on the road".

I bought this water filter for use in a DIY RV that I'm building in a used U-Haul truck. I am using it in my house for now.

I want to have filtered water in the RV for drinking, for making coffee, and for cooking. This filter is a great size for a single user. It is big enough to filter a whole day's needs in one batch and small enough to not take up much space.

I followed the instructions about priming the filter before using it and ran several batches of water to break it in. After that filtering was fairly quick, less than a hour for a full gallon.

Ease of use

I love my new water filter system. So far it has cut my water bottle consumption in half. I also use glass water bottles with my filter system. I’m working on not using plastic water bottles in the future. Also, the water tastes fine.

Fluoride + Ceramic DOESN’T FIT

Just want to make sure you don’t make the same mistake I did.

On the filter options, do not select ceramic + fluoride with the 2.25 gallon size. The filters will not fit together correctly. You have to either have the larger tank size or go with the smaller carbon filters + fluoride filter.

I’m stuck with fluoride filters that I won’t use until I get different main filters (carbon instead of ceramic)

Aside from that, I just got it put together and it’s running the 1st tank for priming so I can’t speak on the water quality yet. I’m sure it works similarly to how a Berkey works. Cheers ya’ll

The water filter you didn’t know you needed.

Excellent, compact water filtration system.

The set up was a bit tedious for me, but worth it. Currently, it’s on the stand at the sink. This was optimal for draining after priming the filters. The stand was wobbly so before refilling again removed it putting the filter directly on the edge of the counter.

The water tastes good, surprisingly after spring water forever. Usually drink room temp and fill 1-2 glass bottles to refrigerate.

Finally, no more buying jugs, gallons or cases of water taking up so much space!

Leaky Spigot resolved!

This is my second product, purchased for our summer home. Assembled and to my dismay the chrome spigot is leaking.
I have sent an email to purewell and hopefully this issue will be quickly resolved. Obviously I am happy with product this is my 2nd one
You can always tell an exceptional company by how they handle an issue with their product. I contacted Purewell about the leaking spigot and within a few days they had sent out a replacement spigot! They stayed in contact with me throughout the process. Very impressive!
I am a very satisfied customer
