Use Notes
01

This is a supplemental filter and must be used together with compatible K Series or SS Series core filters.

02

Choose 5-Stage Reduce Fluoride if you want added fluoride reduction after the core filter stage.

03

Choose 3-Stage Alkaline Filter if you want an additional alkaline material layer designed to raise PH level.

04

Also works with Travel, Big, Royal, Imperial, Light, and Crown Berkey models as an additional gravity filter option.

05

Do not over-tighten during installation. Make sure the supplemental filter is securely attached to the core filter stem.

06

Replace the supplemental filters when the rated capacity is reached or when water flow becomes noticeably slower.

Note: This product is an add-on supplemental filter and is not designed to replace the main core filter by itself. Filter life and flow rate may vary depending on source water quality, water pressure, core filter condition, usage frequency, and maintenance conditions. Third-party brand and model names are used for compatibility reference only.

How to Use the Supplemental Filter

Follow these simple steps to prime, install, and use the supplemental filter correctly with your core filters.

Step 01

Prime the Supplemental Filter

Before installation, remove the red sealing caps, place the priming washer on the inlet side, and rinse the filter under running water.

1
Remove the red sealing caps from both ends of the supplemental filter.
2
Place the black priming washer on the inlet side of the supplemental filter.
3
Connect the filter to the faucet outlet using the priming washer, then flush for at least 120 seconds or until water runs clear.
Tip: Priming helps flush loose particles before the supplemental filter is connected to the core filter.

Flush for at least 120 seconds until water runs clear.
Step 02

How It Works

How the Filter System Works

Water moves through the system by gravity. It first passes through the upper filter elements, then continues through the lower add-on filters before collecting in the lower chamber for dispensing.

1. Add Water to the Upper Chamber

Pour water into the top chamber. The system works without electricity, pressure, or plumbing.

2. Water Passes Through the Core Filters

Gravity pulls water downward through the upper filter elements as the first filtration step.

3. Add-On Filters Provide Extra Filtration

Water then continues through the lower add-on filters to support additional filtration performance.

4. Filtered Water Collects Below

Filtered water collects in the lower chamber and is ready to pour from the spigot when needed.

Filter Replacement

Filter Replacement Guide

Replacing filters on time helps your filtration system keep working properly. It also helps maintain water flow, drinking water taste, and everyday use confidence.

!
Track Usage Time & Filter Life

Filter life may vary by water quality, usage frequency, and total water volume filtered.

Rated Filter Life Reached

Replace the filters when they reach the rated lifespan listed for your filter model.

Water Flow Becomes Slower

If filtering takes much longer than usual, clean or replace the filters as needed.

Taste or Odor Returns

If unwanted taste or smell becomes noticeable again, it may be time to replace the filters.

Source Water Matters

Rain, river, stream, or well water may shorten filter life compared with regular tap water.

What to Check Before Replacing Filters
Confirm Compatibility

Choose filters that match your filtration system, filter series, and setup.

Prepare New Filters

Prime, rinse, or flush new filters according to the product instructions.

Check Seals & Washers

Make sure washers, seals, and threaded parts are installed correctly.

Clean the System

Empty and clean the upper and lower chambers before installing new filters.

Replace Sets Together

If your system uses paired filters, replace matching filters together when needed.

Record the Date

Write down the replacement date and set a reminder based on your usage.

It works

These come well packaged and wrapped in plastic. They work well and as expected. I screw them by threads to carbon filters. Water that comes out looks clean, and not dirty like stream/creek water so I can’t speak about the quality…but, they appear to work well.

Nice fluoride removal filter

These fit perfectly in our Big Berkey water filter and seem to be doing the job very well! I can't tell any difference between them and the more expensive versions. The water tastes great and these filters seem to function perfectly.

Quality

My tap water is very bad. Lots of fluoride so I’m happy to get a month out of these filters but the water that is filtered is very good. I’m sure the filter would last longer if the water wasn’t so mineralized
